Hi friends, I want to tell you a little about what I did this Sunday and this time as a good Milanese I wanted to after several years of not letting him get on the roof of the Milan Cathedral.
Whoever follows me or whoever has already said part of my posts that I have published here, I have been living in the city of Milan for several years, quite close to the historic center, and for all the Milanese but also those of adoption like me, the cathedral represents the most important monument of the city of milan, many tourists from all over the world the first thing they visit in milan is this beautiful gothic church which is the city's cathedral.
But on Sunday I wanted to give myself a wonderful gift, not only to myself but also to my mum who had come to see me from Brescia, we wanted to climb onto the roof of the cathedral, a visit that can be done very well in safety also because there is a very convenient lift that takes you up to the top, but luckily we had booked tickets because otherwise there weren't any more available.
I don't know if you have climbed above this beautiful Duomo again, but it is certainly an experience that I recommend for those who come to visit the city of Milan, also because it is a 360-degree view of the whole city, an almost unique experience , because I don't remember any other vantage points to see the city from above.
As you can see, the square was also full of people, in fact since after the covid Milan has been overrun by numerous tourists who arrive from all over the world, and I can only be happy about this, even if I noticed that there is no still oriental tourism but I think that too will arrive in the coming months.
Of course it is an experience that I do not recommend for those suffering from vertigo, also because there are some rather delicate points to pass, but it is still very nice to see the spiers and statues that adorn the roof of the Cathedral up close, I would almost say unique.
Among other things, above on the roof of the Milan Cathedral there are some terraces accessible to visitors including the terrace of the Madonnina which however is about 5 meters high from the terrace itself.
I hope you can have this experience as soon as possible, and of course I recommend it if you come to my city in Milan, but remember to book your tickets, because I think that this year the tourist influx that will be in Milan will be devastating, I like As usual, I thank you for having spent some of your time reading this post, and we will certainly see you next time.
