Mother's Wax Museum (MWM) is situated in the city of Kolkata of India. Although it's only 4 years old, it's surpassed most of the country's wax museum in terms of popularity owing to it's amazing collection of figurines. As explained in my previous blog, it was difficult for me to get everything in 1 post itself. So here's a detailed description of the remaining sections which I couldn't include in the previous blog :
* Bollywood :
There's an entire section dedicated to the most iconic members of Bollywood. Some of the figurines present here are of Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. The walls are decked with rare pictures from the actors and actresses personal life and award shows.
* Hollywood :
If you get amazed by seeing the Bollywood section, wait till you are directed to the next floor and find yourself surrounded by some of the finest actors/actresses of Hollywood. Brad Pitt, Tom cruise, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Audrey Hepburn are just few among the many statues present there! There's an entire stage made where the Oscar is put for display in front of the wall which displays the pictures of all the Oscar winners.
* Music :
I was hoping to see more musicians from across the globe here but only a few were present including some from India and very few from abroad. Some legendary singers from Tollywood(regional cinema in India) were also seen. From all the statues available, Michael Jackson's statue stood out the most.
* Comics And Cartoons :
This section had the most colorful walls! Any cartoon character that you can think of was there. Most of them were Indian cartoon characters. And yes, Mr. Bean was also present, with his same goofy expressions.
* Harry Potter :
Being a potterhead, this section was my personal favorite. The walls were full of scenes from all the 8 movies and the statue of young Daniel stood right in the middle. The theme of the walls was also made to look like Hogwarts.
This marked the end of my tour of this amazing museum. I hope you guys liked the blog and if you missed out the 1st part, you can find it here : https://steemit.com/travel/@hungry-nomad/67-a-visit-to-mother-s-wax-museum-kolkata-part-1
