One second of the beautiful lakes of Trentino and I will visit absolutely for those who come to far the tourist in Italy is surely the Lago di Ledro.
Il Lago di Ledro is an infatti mountain lake if it is at an altitude of around 600 meters, while in the Estate there is a better climate than the coolest one and suitably rispetto the humid climate of the neighboring Lago di Garda.
Here in the area of Pieve di Ledro, a small village on the lake, you can find a beach made up of small pebbles where you can access the lake, but beware of the water that even in summer is so cold !!
I recommend that if you happen to be in these parts at any time except in the snow to take a ride to the town of Mezzolago, there is a beautiful cycle / pedestrian path where you can take a walk in complete tranquility and relax in the midst of nature.
From time to time during your walk you will encounter benches and tables where you can stop for something to eat or simply drink.
Lake Ledro became famous for an important discovery that took place in the late 1920s, when they had to lower the water level and discovered a prehistoric settlement made of stilts.
Lately it has become the holiday destination especially for Germans, but with the pandemic caused by the covid also many Italians have rediscovered this beautiful place, in fact for these numerous requests the prices of houses and hotels here have risen a lot.
When I went there for one night's rent for an apartment they asked me well 250 Euros, a really crazy price !!
