Hello friends, today in this article I would like to tell you about a village that is very probably little known, which is located in the province of Mantua and which I was lucky enough to visit on Sunday after several years.

I'm talking about the village of Castellaro Lagusello, a place definitely worth visiting for anyone passing through the province of Mantua and is a fraction of the municipality of Monzambano.

I parked the car in the large parking lot adjacent to the village and parking is only allowed during the day, totally free, unfortunately, campers and vans cannot stay in the evening and I found this ugly especially for the tourist who comes from afar.

The first point of interest that you will find at the beginning of the Borgo is the Civic Tower where it is possible to climb up to the top for € 1.50.

the village is very small and can be visited in about an hour there are the classic village streets with houses that have been largely recovered.

In Castellaro Lagusello there is a historic building built by the Arrighi family where a used book market was taking place in the main square on Sunday. This event takes place every second Sunday of the month but in any case in groups of 10 people you could visit this important residence but not I understand the price of the visit.

below a short of mine waiting for the complete video of the main part of the village.

This tower you see in the photo is the gateway to the famous heart-shaped lake of Castellaro Lagusello.

Of course this lake is part of the residence of the Arrighi counts so being a private residence, access to the lake is also subject to a fee and you pay € 2.

Below I leave you the link to the video shot by Mister White of the village and to show you that the lake is practically heart-shaped by the will of Count Arrighi.

Below I leave you the map to understand exactly where Castellaro Lagusello is. I hope you liked it as an article and that, as usual, it managed to make you discover a hidden part of Italy that probably many people do not know.
