The cascade complex, the construction of which started in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980. Further building work was started in 2002 and ran until 2009. It is still not finished, in so far as a museum is yet to be built at the top.

As you approach the cascade, there are many individual pieces of art along the footpath, let's admire them first.

A bronze from 1987, "Mujer Fumando un Cigarrillo"

And an earlier piece from 1986, simply known as "The Roman Warrior" both pieces are by Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero.

Or as I would rename them lady with the boobies and the man with a tiny winkle

The Lion, a piece by S. Korean artist Yong Ho Ji...... made entirely from recycled vehicle tyres.. Amazing skills.

The Blue Kiwi, by Peter Woytuk, stood originally in New York until it moved here in 2012.

The cascade itself is like one big lump of art, it has from top to bottom 572 steps, and just under 500 yds distance from top to bottom. The top has further statistics, but alas I did not get there, time was against me.

"Don't be long Stephen, we need to go to a nearby church" said our guide already slobbering at the mouth at the thought of telling us more about her beloved fucking Gregory.

"Fucking bollocks" Thought I. "Run Forest Run"

A view down from the 3rd level was about as far as I got. I rushed back to my fellow travellers, I was late, they were sitting around eating ice cream cones......and continued so to do for the next 15 minutes; whilst I enjoyed sitting in my sweat soaked clothes, panting like rolf harris after playing with his diddgery doo, FFS!
