Balchik seems a sleepy little place, thought I would take a stroll along the promenade and see what I could see.

They apparently have a major problem in Bulgaria with stray dogs, to the point of various culls. I bumped into quite a few on my journey and I bloody loved them, so friendly and receptive to some gentle neck stroking. This guy was soon joined by his posse when a kindly local brought down a bag of food. A fellow dog lover, he told me he does it every evening.
