I eventually pinned this place after some vague hints on an Urbex site, it was quite a stroll to get here and get back to the city!!! especially when you don't have wifi data. Trusting an offline an app called HereWego off I set.

it is somewhere the other side of that hill mountain

Once out of the city centre you get the real feel for the area.

What is left of this swimming complex sits adjacent to the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, the home of the Armenian National team and Pyunik FC. The original stadium much renovated and changed over the years was originally built in 1935, the architecture of this place looks of a similar age.

Those are pretty high diving platforms, now with all access ladders removed.

Can't find a damn thing about this place on the interweb, maybe that indicates it was just a public lido rather than anything of a sporting nature?

The wonderful detail on the architrave above the doorway.

Cautiously and I mean super cautiously it is time to take a look inside, I had read that this may be a home for scavenging stray dogs, and I did not want my backside chewed off.
