After my bicycle got stolen few weeks ago, I have decided to go on a trip to Cappadocia for few days to kinda forget about my misery. That idea worked until I got back to Antalya and realised how bad this city is without a bike. I wouldn't mind using public transport, wouldn't it be for the masks...
So last few days I was really just minding my own business and not going out too much, the weather was bad anyways. But yesterday it changed, the sun came out and so did I.
As I was looking at my very limited options for a day trip around the city I've spotted this bay eastwards from the center. Walking distance too far, I had to jump on bus. Terrifying. Everybody is wearing a mask on Antalya's public transport.
After half an hour of suffering I finally reached the last stop. Crossed a highway and one bridge over the river and arrived to my destination.
Not knowing what to expect, full of excitement I am heading my way into the forest. But than, a barking dog scared me. It seemed as if this place was full of street dogs. So I backed off a little and got back to the asphalt road, leading to the beach.
Okey, I admit these dogs don't look that bad, I didn't try to make pictures of the scary ones. After some time I did arrived to the beach and was kinda shocked. It wasn't your average holiday resort beach. It looked more like Slum city in Californian desert. With more than plenty of wooden structures resembling Mad Max, the beach looked actually awesome.
With Kremlin Palace on one side and snow capped mountains on other, it was really a spectacular experience. I have sat down in one of those "holiday homes" and recorded one video for my YouTube, flew over with my drone, enjoyed the sunlight and was slowly on my way back home as after the sunset it gets cold even here in southern part of Turkey.
All the best,
