Hello, Hiver friends!
Happy Hump Day!
How are you today?
I hope everyone is doing well.
The previous week, I was searching the internet for a relaxing weekend destination. It was very timely that my high school friend Jennifer sent me a link about this new farm and resort. It was my first time hearing about the place, and I've never been there. Out of curiosity, I checked their page. This location offers different attractions inspired by various tourist destinations throughout the world. Sounds fun, right?! I reached out on their official account for inquiries.
They offer a tour and swimming package. My kids will never say no to swimming, so without thinking twice, I reserve a cottage because it is required to reserve a cottage if you avail of the swimming and tour package. I got the Malaysia Pink Cottage, located in Legoland. I'm sure it's a perfect location for the kids, and I was not wrong. My toddler stayed in the pool almost the whole time of our stay.
When we arrived, we went straight to the registration, showed my paid online booking of the cottage, and settled the entrance fee. They gave us a wristband and a map of the place. A staff member assisted us with our baggage and guided us to our cottage. Luckily, Legoland is just right next to the entrance, so we don't need to carry our heavy bags around for too long.
I took a photo of the map just in case I lost it or the kids crumpled it. Looking at it, we are all excited to explore the 33 attractions listed on the paper, but at the same time, I'm also doubtful if I can check them all off with my toddler tailing me whenever I go.
After dropping off and securing our belongings, I grab my phone and the tripod to roam around and get a good family photo before the kids start enjoying themselves in the pool. Kids are fuzzy and impatient to take photos whenever they are tired and distracted, so yeah, photos first before the rest of the activity.
Our first stop: the most famous landmark in Paris, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Not as detailed as the original, but the design is still admirable.
Every attraction does have this cute little sign where you can read the details of its origin. Very informative for all the guests visiting.
Next is this rock statue inspired by volcanic rock sculptures on the Easter Island of Chile. The Moai statue.
Near the Moai Statue is this stone structure inspired by Stonehenge in England.
This little guy was striking a pose and wanted to be part of the blog. 😄
This one is the cutest attraction for me; the inside of that house is actually a restaurant of one of the concessionaries of the resort. The Amare La Cucina
Just across the street from Amare La Cucina Restaurant is this Old Greece-inspired building.
At the back of this structure is the pool, so after the kids got a glimpse of the pool, they no longer wanted to walk with me and asked to go back to the cottage so they could change into their swimming clothes and start swimming.
We walked back to Lego Land to get change. I reapplied their sunscreen and changed them into swimming attire.
The pink one is our cottage. It is in front of Lego Land pool and we can see the kids swimming from there. It has its own bathroom and kitchen sink at the back.
His older brother is in a different, deeper pool, and the kids are already having fun in the water, so I stopped my little tour and started setting the table.
I prepared our food myself; grilled fish, pork belly and barbeque, eggplant inchalada, and noodles are what we have brought. We have a cooler filled with cold drinks and desserts. We also bought cake along the way for Jen because it happened to be her birthday.
After we ate our first meal of the day, my kids went to explore other pools with their father and uncle. I decided to continue checking out the rest of the attractions listed.
My boys were having a great time in the Arab Pool.
After I finished checking the villas around the Arab Pool, I walked to my next destination. From the Middle East to America
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think of being in Manhattan, New York. And this park just gave me a brief sense of how it feels.
Far compared to the original, but this is way better than staring at the pictures.
After finding the right angle of the Statue of Liberty, I received a chat that they were done swimming and wanted to get changed. I walk back to our cottage to help bathe the kids and serve them their lunch, as my toddler is now sleepy. It was almost three in the afternoon at that time, and it was almost his nap time. We continued walking after changing the kids into dry clothes.
The place is huge and offers a lot. If you check every detail in every attraction, I doubt a good whole day won't be enough.
Join me for Part 2, as I will be sharing the rest of the attractions we went to and a video too.
Before I wrap up the first part of this blog, this is my participation in the #WednesdayWalk organized by @tattoodjay in collaboration with #makemesmile by @elizacheng. I hope you had a good time walking around the area with me and that somehow it made you smile.
I appreciate your interest in reading and will see you in Part 2!
