Hello Hive friends! 👋

Today I came across some sad news I had missed: @tipu has shut down. The service stopped on 4 October 2025, because of new EU rules that require a special licence for any crypto-related project.

For me, @tipu was much more than a bot: I used it a lot with my old accounts @amico and @amico.sports. 🙏

So first of all: thank you, @tipu, for years of support to so many users and communities.

⚖️ Why it closed

The post doesn't name the law, but the main EU rules for crypto services are these:

• MiCA – Regulation (EU) 2023/1114: a CASP licence is needed to provide crypto-asset services (EUR-Lex · ESMA)
• Transfer of Funds Regulation (EU) 2023/1113 ("Travel Rule") (EUR-Lex)
• DAC8 – Directive (EU) 2023/2226: tax reporting of users' crypto transactions (EUR-Lex)
• AMLR – Regulation (EU) 2024/1624: stricter anti-money-laundering checks from 2027 (EUR-Lex)

For a small project run by volunteers, licences, paperwork and possible fines are a wall that's too high. 🧱 (I'm not a lawyer: this is just a quick overview.)

😮 The surprise: the delegations are still there!

One year after the closure, the @tipu wallet still receives 629 delegations, for a total of about 468,000 HP. That's a lot of Hive Power that is probably no longer working for its owners.

These are the 10 largest:

#	Delegator	HP (approx.)
1	@profquax	87,529
2	@luppers	35,551
3	@sharkface	24,885
4	@glowingbehemoth	24,263
5	@modemser	14,230
6	@carlpei	13,835
7	@accountsale	12,511
8	@n0name	12,157
9	@abuzarkalam	11,199
10	@teamnearandl	8,088

👉 If you're on the list, think about removing the delegation and putting your HP back to work: for your own votes, for curation, or for a project or community you love.

How to do it on PeakD: Wallet → Hive Power → Delegations → find @tipu → set it to 0. Remember that undelegated HP takes 5 days to come back to your account. ⏳

The full list of all 629 active delegations is at the bottom of the post. Please share this post with anyone you know who might still be delegating! 🔄

🔥 All rewards from this post will go to @null to burn HIVE. I don't want to earn anything from this news: just to help everyone get their HP back. 🙏

Addio @tipu: grazie, e controllate le vostre deleghe! 💔

Ciao amici di Hive! 👋

Come fare su PeakD: Wallet → Hive Power → Delegations → trova @tipu → imposta 0.
