My choice was again to visit the castle ruins. This time we will look south of České Budějovice to the village of Pořešín.
On a rocky promontory above the Malší River stand the remains of a medieval guard castle. Although the castle was not conquered, it was still unlucky. Its owner, Oldřich of Rožmberk, had the castle demolished so that it would not fall into the hands of the Hussite troops (first half of the 15th century).

Že tam toho k vidění mnoho není? Jak už jsem psal, hrad byl pobořen v první polovině 15. století. Od té doby bylo spoustu zdiva rozebráno na okolní stavby.

Pokud se rozhodnete hrad navštívit autem nebo na motocyklu, je potřeba tyto vozidla nechat na parkovišti v obci Pořešín. Na kole můžete dojet až k hradu. Kočárky se tam dostanou také.
Místo je zajímavé i pro vyznavače geocachingu. V okolí hradu jsou minimálně 3 keše.
