Woke up early, as usual. I was staying at Matteo's house - my Warmshowers host invited me for the breakfast. After that, he showed me the good cycling path to Padua, it follows the river and is separated from car traffic - only cyclists and runners around.

It was less then 10 km to Padua. I was impressed by this city - probably, one of the most cyclist-friendly in Italy. A lot of people biking it's streets, bikes parked everywhere. Nice historic centre.

I spent not a lot of time there, because had a plan for today to reach Ferrara, where I had a deal with a women from Couchsurfing. But, when I cycled part of the way, checked the email and got the message that she could not host me, her plans changed.

On the road to Rovigo.

Passed Rovigo - small town with some places of interest. Walls, towers... Italy is beautiful.

On my way I followed Destra Po cycling route. Quite, no cars...

It was already evening. So, I decided to camp somewhere. Maybe, near the river. And then I checked my email again and saw the reply from one of the Warmshowers users. So, I continued another 20 km to Occhiobello, small town close to Ferrara. Got there in the dark.

Around 100 km today. Tired.

Lorenzo warmly welcomed me and invited for the dinner. He recommended me to spend some time in Ferrara's city centre. I'll definitely visit it, but not sure about staying more then few hours. Lisbon is waiting for me...
