The forest in Lancok Village, Sawang District, Aceh, holds hidden beauty waiting to be discovered. On this photography hunting trip, I focused on a small world that is often overlooked, namely mushrooms. With the help of a macro lens, I managed to capture the beauty of two types of unique and stunning tiny mushrooms.

The first mushroom I found was Lichenomphalia umbellifera, which grew on a small twig under damp leaves. This mushroom is very small, even smaller than the tip of my finger, as seen in the comparison photo. To provide a clearer scale, I also compared it to a cigarette, and it turned out that this mushroom was much smaller.

The sunlight that penetrates through the gaps in the leaves provides a natural lighting effect that enhances the details of this mushroom, especially the bottom part which is perfectly folded like a small umbrella.

here i also show the smaller mushrooms below.

The second mushroom I found was no less amazing. A type of Chrysomphalina, this mushroom grows on mossy tree branches. Its shape is almost similar to the first mushroom, but its size is smaller and its color is brighter, with an alluring yellow tinge. To photograph it, I took advantage of the natural lighting at the location, so that the texture and color of this mushroom can be seen clearly and vividly.

These two mushrooms are truly the perfect models for me, a macro photography enthusiast. Although small and hard to find, their presence in the middle of the forest gives its own happiness when I manage to capture them. This trip is not only about taking pictures, but also about finding and appreciating the small wonders that are often hidden around us.
