After visiting the art building at No. 27, Jalan Raja, Dataran Merdeka, 50050 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, my next trip was to Jalan Parlimen 50480 Kuala Lumpur to visit the Malaysian state memorial monument. This monument is located close to the Parliament building.

In defending the country from enemy attacks, always soldiers who are victims of war. Whether it's injured or killed by the enemy. All that is done for the duty of the state is to secure and maintain the dignity of the country. To commemorate the services of the soldiers, a memorial place in the form of a monument was made. So almost every country there is a hero memorial monument. Likewise with Malaysia.

This triggered our curiosity to see the shape of this hero monument in the State of Malaysia. After arriving at the parking lot located in front of the National Monument yard, we got out of the car and headed to the entrance that was connected to the courtyard, in this courtyard the monument stands upright. In this memorial there is an inscription in Malay that is "UNTUK MENGINGATI JASA PAHLAWAN-PAHLAWAN YANG GUGOR". Under the writing in Malay there is also writing in English "TO OUR GLORIOUS DEAD". And under the writing in the language England is a row of numbers that indicate the year of fighting, namely 1914-1918 (World War I), 1939-1945 (World War II) and 1948-1960 (Emergency Land of the Malay). The soldiers who died were from countries which is under the British Commonwealth, the this information we get from our tour guide.

After passing through this monument, we will climb several stairs to a roofed building with three golden domes. In the ceiling of the building, various kinds of plates are attached with various designs.

In front of this building is a monument, the National Monument, this National Monument is located in the middle of a pond surrounded by fountains. To get to this monument there are two small bridges.

This State Monument is in the form of a statue of several soldiers, one of the soldiers stood upright while raising the Malaysian flag, which was flanked by two soldiers beside him with complete weapons. In front of the soldier who raised the flag there was a soldier who was helping his injured friend. And beneath them lay two dead soldiers.

Under this State monument there are writings in Arabic jawo form and writing in English that is "Dedicated to the heroic fightets in the cause of peace and freedom. May the blessing of Allah be upon them".

On a plaque from ceramics there is information about the National Monument that shows the history of the founding of the monument. The contents of this plaque are "The making of this State Monument was proposed by Y. T.M Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra Alhaj, Prime Minister of Malaysia in 1963 to commemorate all heroes who died in defending the sovereignty of the state including those of the former".

This monument is almost daily visited by tourists, most tourists from abroad. I highly recommend this place for you to visit when you visit Malaysia.
