Hello friends!
Yesterday I went for a walk, with inspiration on the surface, next to my cell phone camera, looking with the lens of a tourist in my beautiful hometown.
I started my tour in the historic center of the city of Barcelona, visiting a historic monument in ruins, which can be seen starting the boulevard near the commercial area of the city, surrounded by shops and located in front of the Plaza Bolivar, is located Casa Fuerte was formerly a convent, but during the war of independence of my country, it was turned into a fort by the liberator Simón Bolívar. It was the scene of one of the most bloody battles of the independence movement, Charles Chamberlain died and his wife Eulalia Buroz, the latter is the statue in an equine and the Barcelonan pedro Maria Freites, made prisoner and then shot in the city of Caracas .
After taking the respective photos, I ate a delicious ice cream in the Plaza Bolívar, which we call "Raspao", and it is basically an ice cream made of iced ice and a liquid of different flavors. Once renewed my strength, weakened by the heat and the intense March sun, I went to the vicinity of the Cajigal Theater located in front of the Plaza Rolando in Barcelona, is a building built in neoclassical style, with capacity for 300 spectators, there plays are presented, and I wanted to photograph it because from my point of view its architecture is impressive, enjoy it in its splendor. Nearby, erect as if waiting to be portrayed in a corner, the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, with its neoclassical style, built at the end of the 18th century, is a beautiful place for Catholic parishioners.
Steeped in the history of my beloved Barcelona, I turned my ride around and went to Lechería, a city that, together with the cities of Puerto La Cruz and Guanta, form the eastern urban area known as the Great Barcelona. I stopped to admire the architecture of the Dimitrios Demus Museum, this space dedicated to the arts, named after the sculptor of the same name, who built this space in his residence on the Main Avenue of Dairy, many of his works are inspired by UFO stories. The facade resembles a flying ship in the process of landing. Although many instead say that it resembles an eye.
Passing through Playa Muerta, in Lechería, this is a well-known beach area and with lots of buildings around it, several restaurants like Tony Roma are nearby, I was able to walk along its boulevard and appreciate the sea. Then, near there, I also wanted to share the photo of a building called "Tree to Live" because of its unique style in the Dairy area, the work of the architect Fruto Vivas, it is a blioclimatic architecture, that is, it uses the available resources, this case light and breeze, to air-condition their common spaces and buildings.
Now, I climbed Cerro El Morro, where I could enjoy the spectacular view of Pozuelo Bay, and I put on my sports shoes and took a long walk. I also took advantage of passing through the Fortín de la Magdalena, which is a fort built by the Spaniards in colonial times, to protect themselves from the English and Dutch. Now its ruins went through a process of restoration, and you can see in my photographs that it is a place that lends itself to enjoy its excellent view of the sea. I leave here the photos. I hope you have also enjoyed my trip through my publication. Hugs.
