Gold of autumn nature
In the last days of sunny weather, before the cold autumn with snow and rain came, I managed to visit a small town in the Yaroslavl region called Tutaev. I have already spoken about this place more than once. I have been there both in winter and in summer.
This is an old Russian city, which is not far from the city of Yaroslavl and has a rich history. It is easy to get there by car. From my city of Kostroma you can get there in a little over an hour.
Today's city of Tutaev consists of two cities located opposite each other along the banks of the Volga River.
One of the cities is called Borisoglebsk. The second is Romanov. The city on the left bank of the Volga is especially rich in temples. This is Romanov.
Prince Roman, who came to these places after the devastation of Yaroslavl by the Tatar hordes in the 12th century and discovered a settlement here on the right bank of the river. It was the city of Borisoglebsk. The prince, as a military man, determined that the high right bank was much better suited for building a fortress - Detinets.
He organized a ferry to the other side and created a new city, which was named after him.
Since the prince's name was Roman, the new city began to be called Romanov.
But this excursion into history is not so important, since on this autumn trip to Tutaev I was more interested in beautiful yellow-red foliage. This is real autumn gold.
Blue sky and yellow-red leaves. That's very beautiful.
Moreover, I was very lucky, because the sun was only a few hours, and then the clouds covered the sky and removed all the bright colors. It became cloudy and cold.
And it seems worth preparing for the long winter.
