📣 Big news: Actifit moves to @amico.sports
First, a small administrative announcement (I promise, it's the only boring part of this post 😄). From now on, my Actifit reports will be published from this account, @amico.sports.
Why? Simple: I want to keep things tidy.
- 🏃 @amico.sports will be the account dedicated to sport and daily activity: walks, hikes, bike rides, farm cardio (hen-chasing included) and everything Actifit-related.
- 🌿 @caparadiso stays the home of the farm: the stories, the videos, the guests, the projects and the life at Ca' Paradiso.
Think of it as separating the gym bag from the kitchen: both are useful, but you really don't want to mix them. 🎒🍳 You'll find the latest posts of the main blog at the bottom of every report, so nobody gets lost.
🧹 A morning of home improvement
The day started with a long, noble battle against dust, clutter and "I'll put it there for now" piles. Anyone who runs a farm stay knows: the house is never finished, it's only temporarily presentable. 😅 A few hours of tidying later, I could finally say: "OK, now we can have guests, a friend and even a photographer."
👩🦱 After so long, @crmilazz came to Ca' Paradiso!
Speaking of guests: after a long time, @crmilazz came to visit us at Ca' Paradiso, and she just published for the first time on her own blog her personal introduction: "Better Late Than Never: Hello Hive!" 👋 (the link is on the cover photo of this post: go and say hello!)
Here she is, mid-speech. I have no idea what she was telling me, but the gesture clearly says "listen carefully, because I'm right". 😂
🍽️ Lunch by the sea in Fano
After the housework, we escaped to Fano for a lunch right on the seafront: blue sky, sun, sea breeze and a menu rich with seafood. Reading it required serious concentration:
Yes, that's the "nose-on-the-menu" technique: scientifically proven to make the decision harder. 🤓
🐕🌊 A long walk on the beach with the dogs
After lunch, the best digestive in the world: a long walk along the beach with the dogs. Here's our brown curly star @choko.shock, nose to the sand, completely absorbed in analysing the latest news of the day (smells, mostly):
The sea was lively, with white waves and a few brave people (and dogs!) in the water in October. Meanwhile @bdog, our white lady with brown spots, was clearly thinking: "water? In October? You're all crazy." 🐾
And @bdog, the elegant white-and-tan lady of the pack, took full advantage of the walk: she picked the greenest patch of grass, settled in like a queen and waited for her subjects (us) to come back:
Look at that expression: "I'm not tired, I'm just conserving energy for dinner." 😴
Steps for the Actifit report: plenty. Sand in the shoes: included. 👣
🇩🇪🍝🍷 Dinner at Ca' Paradiso with our German campers
Back at Ca' Paradiso, we hosted some German campers. After a day of walking, nobody had the strength to refuse, so we ended up having dinner together: a big plate of fusilli with pesto and a really excellent wine from Ca' le Suore. 🍷
Conversation was a perfect mix of English, a few Italian words, a few German ones and lots of gestures, with the wine doing the work of the interpreter. 😄 No translator needed, only a good bottle, a plate of pasta and the same universal language: "Mmmh, buono!" 🇮🇹🤝🇩🇪
Camping under the Marche stars, a table with new friends and a glass of wine in hand: I'd say that's the best possible ending for a day that started with a duster in my hand. ⭐
So that was our day: house tidying, a long-awaited visit, a seaside lunch, a beach walk with the dogs and a dinner with new friends. Not a bad score for a Saturday!
