Why Import Posts from Hive to TravelFeed?
TravelFeed is a Hive frontend dedicated to travel content. If you have posts previously posted on Hive using the Pinmapple or Worldmappin code snippet, you can import them to TravelFeed to keep your pins and view them on a map.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have your Hive account linked to your TravelFeed account. If you chose Hive as sign up option, this is done automatically. If you signed up with email or social logins, learn how to link your Hive account here.
Only posts with a Pinmapple or Worldmappin code snippet can be imported. If you have posts without a code snippet, use the "create pin" button on travelfeed.com/map, add the code snippet to your existing Hive post on a Hive frontend like Peakd, Hive.blog, Exency or Inleo and save it.
Step 1: Access the Import Feature
To begin the import process, follow these steps:
- Log in to your TravelFeed account or go to your TravelFeed Dashboard if you are already logged in.
- Click on 'Drafts' in the sidebar.
- Click on 'Import', located next to the 'Published' tab. On mobile, it's a green import icon.
- Select 'Hive'
Step 2: Select Posts to Import
Once you're on the import page, you'll see a list of all your Hive posts that are not yet imported to TravelFeed fetched automatically. To import the desired posts, follow these steps:
- Review the list of your Hive posts.
- Select the posts you want to import by checking the boxes next to them.
- Click on the 'Import Selected Posts' button (you might need to scroll down to see it) to start the import process.
You can watch the progress as all selected posts are imported one by one. Votes and replies you received from Hive users who have connected their Hive account to TravelFeed will be synced within an hour.
All your posts will now be visible on your TravelFeed profile ('map' tab) as well as on the global TravelFeed map. This can be a bit delayed due to caching. You can even show the map on your own domain if you use TravelFeed Hosting.
