Tip
For the route you actually travelled, use TravelFeed's own
maps — press / and pick Map.
They are built from what you have written, they are interactive, and they stay
editable. A Google map is better for pinning one specific address.
Embedding a Google map
- Go to Google Maps and find the place you are writing about. For a route or a set of pins of your own, use Google MyMaps instead.
- Open Share → Embed a map and copy the HTML it gives you.
- In the editor, press
/, pick HTML, and paste the code in. It is published exactly as you wrote it — see the HTML block.
Use Preview at the top right to check it before you publish.
A word of caution
An embedded Google map is one of the heavier things you can put on a page, and it loads before your reader gets to your writing. One per post, low down, is usually the right amount — a plain address and a link often serves the reader better.
