Today I'll be taking you through our market.
It was the big market day and I decided to go for a tour around the market.
The are several areas and places in the market but I choose this area that takes us back to our ancient regime.
This reminds us of the olden times.
The native and natural products and produce got my attention and I decided to make a post about it.

While on a tour with my mum, I saw a woman trying to call on customers to buy her produce. And what was this produce? Its onions, the purple or magenta in colour onion. We all know onion cause we use that a lot in our food.
Onion us good for our health and it plays a major role in our body system. The woman called out till my mum was forced to go check out her goods and buy some.
While she was buying I was busy taking shots😂😂

And while taking shot of my mom bending down to buy, I got the attention of most of the market men and women, who were probably asking themselves what I was busy doing, because of the perplexed looks on their faces but while I wasn't really bothered cause I had some important business to take care of. So I just ignored them and go about with what was my concern.

Strolling around this particular area that native produce and natural herbs are be sold, I ran into a place that displayed an ancient pots and bowls for sell. At first I was wondering if the pots and bowls were still very strong being that it was looking old, so I was forced to touch and feel it.
It was stronger than its appearance. The bowls and pots were moulded with clay; that is, the orange in colour sand.

And again I found an area where they sold mortar and pistol.
This product is still an ancient product too used in grinding and grading your food produce to your desires shape and sizes.
Well we know that in the modern times, we have different devices and inventions that can make that possible and very easy
But then it was this that was available and to be very frank, it is still being used now so it's still in existence.
Now are other native products that got eyes. Here we have our cassava filter or you can call it siever, we have our local hand bells, we have our human cane, parents call it Doctor Do Good😂😂 we also have our tripod stands used for cooking, grader for cutting and slicing our food product into smaller sizes and shapes, we also have there our small kitchen chair otherwise called Woman Sit on Top😂
There is local hoes and cutlasses. We have baskets and catapults too.
And others I haven't mentioned

Going for a tour round the market was exciting but it was quite tiring too! But I couldn't help having fun because of the wonderful things that were there to behold.
Mom had to move from this area where the native and natural olden things were sold to another area that sold foodstuff, but I didn't take pictures of those being that those kind of things are very common round the world.
I only shot and captured what actually got my attention.

Oops my manner! I guess I didn't tell you about where this is. Its here in Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State, Uyo. In ITU Local Government Area.
This market is the biggest anf largest in ITU. And I'm privileged to always visit once in a while.
