In this winter holiday I had gone to Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. It is famous for its special history and environment. On Gulangyu Island you can see a lot of western style building since it is a island belong to China.

In the first time, I just thought it may be a boarding traveling because it might be the same experience like traveling in a normal park which just be larger than others without any history. But when I disembarked get the island, I found I was wrong. Maybe I went outside for traveling for less time, I firstly saw such large ficus microcarpa, and such a lot of tropical plants.

But they are not the most important part. When I went deeper the island, I found that there were such a lot of building, but they were not the traditional style as China. Actually, they were more like the building style as British, or French? Then I thought that may be there was a colony in one hundred years ago. When in the Republic of China era, many countries invaded into China and remolded here as a “STANDARD” colony. During my traveling in the Gulangyu Island, I confirmed my guess depended on what I saw. I can saw the old bank of the UK and the region for setting the leased territory.

It could be the result for explaining that why in the dominant of China there was a Piano exhibition hall. Inside the exhibition hall, we could see a lot of pianos. Most of them were made in 18th and 19th and purchased by a overseas Chinese. Also there was a pipe organ exhibition hall, but we forgot to make an appointment, we cannot in. But I take a lot of photos about the pianos! I think they can be the references when I drawing the artworks contain piano!

Since the buildings here were western style, the food here still Hakka cuisines. I must admitted that people from Guangdong can deal with the chicken well, and no one can be more professional in cookchicken than people from Guangdong！

But so pity that I forget to take photos for them.
