So... I am in Tbilisi... Leaved Kolkata for Mumbai and had a flight to Georgia 5 weeks ago. Loved that month in Georgia - it's much-much quiter here and everything is more predictable than in crazy (amazing) India 😄 And old Tbilisi's alleys are full of textures and kitties ❤️ - sharing images from a very recent walk. 😎
That's the style - 2-storey buildings with wooden balkonies are a signiture architecture of the old town.
A significantly gentrifided area, but still with the charm.
Medieval Georgian churches add even more flavor.
I sort of tired of street photography lately and love to focus on the cats especially 'cause I have a cat community on Reddit, if you don't know - reached 5K members recently 😊🥂
Look at this little guy! Teaching everyone how to be happy with the life itself! 🌞
That nose! 😻
Covered with ink blobs as if he dipped the face into the paint 🎨
Walking further, enjoying the architecture and street art.
More cats on the way.
Although social media prefers vertical shots, I search for opprtunities of combining people and street life with cats:
But portraits are worth shooting too:
In the meantime, darkness was falling over the city.
An ancient Georgian temple, Sioni, in the busy part of the old town.
Tourists doing their touristy things - selfies and souvenir shopping. Good vibes there, love this part of the city!
Another kitty guarding the alley.
A narrow pathway, where it leads?..
It's like the second summer here, +25 in the afternoon, +18 in the evening - perfect for long walks.
Cats, even stray, feel good in old Tbilisi - supported by people, locals, expats, and travelers.
A beautiful city, Tbilisi is. I have several walks a week, each 15-20 km long. So, more shots of cats and streets are ahead, stay tuned, dear reader! 😎
As for Mumbai and Kolkata - a lot of cool images I took there, I'll share them later as soon as I start feeling nostalie for that part of my life journey... I will - guess I might return to India at some point - Mumbai, Goa, Kerala would be fantastic.
The photos were taken with a Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D on a full-frame DSLR Nikon D750 on October 16, 2026 (image 3 on October 18), in Tbilisi, Georgia
