This is certainly one of the more intense hikes you can do on the island. In fact we met a girl during our hike who turned it into a two day adventure. It's a solid three to five hour hike from Haad Rin where the famous Full Moon Party happens; through the jungle, and popping out on a set of beaches up the coast line to the north. It takes you over several little but steep mountains and through dense jungle. By the time you get to Haad Yao, you are exhausted and just want to run into the water. This is where some people's journey ends for the day, as there are bungalows for rent and a restaurant. Like the girl we met, many decide to spend the night and hike back the next day. Other's like myself we hopped a ride back to Haad Rin on a taxi boat where my motorbike was waiting for us. Now come check out some photos from our journey!

The rocks make for a really beautiful photo.

From the start of our hike. About 15 minutes in there is a view point looking back on Haad Rin.

Thailand is speckled with tiny islands offshore of main islands like you see here.

Another Haad Yao Secondary beach that is sure to cut your feet up if you tried.

A lonely beach near Haad Rin almost impossible to get to. Photo was taken from the Taxi Boat.
