What's in the Thai pink noodle soup?

Thai noodle is different..

How many times do I have to tell people that Thai noodle is DIFFERENT! Like, really different from other countries' types of noodle and different from other types of Thai noodle themselves too.. wait.. what?

I could eat noodle (soup) everyday..

We have a lot of noodle types. I can't even count how many exactly as maybe some of them I probably haven't had a chance to try just yet. It's crazy and that's why I could eat noodle every single day..

Yen Ta Fo

This pink noodle I'm talking about today called 'Yen Ta Fo'

what makes it pink?? Fermented soybean paste that’s added afterward. It's what also gives it such a unique flavor that I'm sure not everyone would like.. though, I do! :)

Super Authentic Thai noodle place

The place we went is called 'Kuay Teow Krae' located in the Wanglang Market (right by the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok) and this is what the place looks like..

Packed with all tables and chairs in a really hot weather plus+ the steam from the big boiling-water pot. We do like it hot, I swear LOL

A bit closer to the noodle making station..

As you can see, the big jar (if that's what it's called? LOL) of pink liquid. That's the fermented soybean. Our main character of the post.. Along with all the deep fried garlic, and other sauces.
