Amideva Buddha Park/Three Buddha Park at kathmandu
Hello friends :)
Previously i wrote about the Thamel market, from there I reached to the bus park, there i saw that huge statues of buddha.
There are three gorgeous monuments of the great Buddha, that's look so amazing.
There was too much crowd but besides that i manage to take some good shoots of the monuments.
This is the entrance gate of the park.
There is no entry fees for anyone.
At the entrance there is a great Ficus religiosa or sacred fig tree. It is also known as the bodhi tree or peepal tree.
behind that great peepal tree the three huge, gorgeous stupas are situated.
The hight of the statues are 67ft total and was built by the tilicho khangsar service committee of manang district. The foundation stone was laid by the lama sherep Guyljen on 21-06-1999 and completed on 09-08-2002.
Behind these statues there are concrete mountain with a collection of little golden Buddha statues situated on it. This looks like a miniature representation of the great Himalayas with little stepped paths, mountain huts and a temple house. It has mini shining stones and lush green vegetation. It has plenty of colours; Animals roam the upper slopes of the mountain.
There are two shrines behind the statues one of which contains a Large Prayer Wheel, which worshipers turn while repeating prayer mantras.
In other shrine devotees lights the earthen lamps as a part of worship.
There are several hundreds of earthen lamps lighten every day.
There are still some new constructions is in progress.
So friends, hope you like and enjoy that amazing tour of the Amideva Buddha park.
Thank you so much to the all Noble Readers.
