Halo everyone...
Accommodation is one of the most important things when you want to travel besides plane tickets. Accommodation is also a basic thing that needs to be prepared when dealing with immigration officers, even though it is just a formality. The types of accommodation also vary, adjusted to the traveler's budget. If you want to save money, book a hostel. If you want comfortable accommodation, book a hotel with all the facilities offered.
For me, who only has a little experience traveling, accommodation is just a place to stop. Reducing the budget for accommodation is my choice because usually, accommodation is only for sleeping and storing goods, so it doesn't need to be expensive. Nowadays, affordable accommodation options are also diverse. For travelers, they will definitely be familiar with the term dormitory, which is a hostel with shared rooms. This type of accommodation is usually quite cheap, but you don't have privacy. If you want privacy, book a capsule hostel type.
OHANA SUITES
When I went to Kuala Lumpur last day, I chose the capsule type of accommodation because besides, the affordable price, I had never experienced sleeping in a capsule room. For one capsule room, I only paid around USD 10, because I had points exceeding USD 10, I paid for it with points.
This is Ohana Suites located on the 26th floor of the Taragon Puteri Bintang building. I will give you a room tour.
- The Lobby
When I arrived at Ohana, it was still early morning, 1 A.M. I decided to check in early because I wanted to continue my long sleep after sleeping on the bus ride. So I wanted to stretch my legs. The receptionist, at that time a young man, kindly answered my questions. He said I had to pay USD 9 for early check-in. That’s okay, so I fulfilled his requirements before finally going to my room.
In this lobby, I saw an extraordinary work of art. There is a shelf in the right corner facing the receptionist. There is also a billiard table in the middle of the room. Ohana Suite has a balcony that also functions as a cafe. The view from this balcony is really beautiful, showing half of Kuala Lumpur and its landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers.
These are the notes left by former guests of Ohana Suites. Many of them enjoyed staying at Ohana, including me. This was my first experience staying in a capsule hotel filled with guests from various countries.
So the capsule rooms are on the second floor. Luckily the receptionist helped me carry my suitcase, so when I went up to the second floor, I had no trouble. These are the capsule rooms.
- The Capsule Room
This is a room with large boxes. The boxes are divided into two parts, upper and lower. Each part (floor) is divided into several parts. The material of this capsule is a thin but sturdy board so that it can withstand the weight of people and their belongings. My capsule room is at L5, it is the capsule on the top floor.
As I had expected, the capsule I booked was only sized for one bed. Even so, this small room was quite comfortable. I slept soundly even though I was only given a fan and a reading lamp.
There is no separation between women's and men's rooms. Everything is shared in the same room. Although there is no separation between women and men, because this is a capsule type, guests still feel comfortable. However, you have to be careful when going to the toilet because there is no toilet for women or men. The toilet is free for both men and women.
And here is what you get from the second floor. You even can spot The Petronas Twin Towers.
Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!
See you on the next post...
