Hi Travel Feed Friends.. This is my first post on Travel Feed Platform. I am totally curios how would it be. For post this issue, I thought I write so slow because this platform totally different, I hope I am not doing something wrong. Your reminder is precious for me. Let's get it!

On the previous post in Travel Feed, I talked about my first trekking in Papandayan Mount, West Java, with my friends.

It started to rain when we were at Pondok Selada. After a light lunch, we started to descend. We did not intend to camp at Pondok Selada which is often used as a camping ground for climbers. Our climbing concept is One Day Trekking, so when we are satisfied enjoying nature at the top, we have to hurry down.

Because it started to rain, the scenery along the way was fog and wet roads. We did not take the road we took when climbing, we chose a detour and it would pass through the Ghober Hoet post.

This is the first view after we decided to walk down. You can see the fog because the rain around the Crater. Just because the rain like cats and dogs, I and my friends could not take a many pictures. We should to focus walking down than taking a pictures a video because the road is easy to make us slip so we should to watch out our foot. After passing through the forest, our road is like this. Slippery and muddy because the soil is red soil which will also make your shoes feel sticky.

Although it was foggy, it did not diminish the beauty of Papandayan. Even though we were wet from the rain, this kind of vibe made me (especially) want to play in the rain longer there. But we couldn't because we were pressed for time. To pass through the rocky, muddy, narrow, and slippery roads, we needed so much time, because almost half of the journey was like that. Ah, the roads were uphill and downhill, sometimes we also had to stop and let motorcyclists pass. I can't imagine what it would be like if they slipped. Hopefully you porters are always given safety.

This is Cimanuk River that we used to stopped by. Our sandals were dirty so we played in the water for a while and captured the moment even though our phones got wet

The river so refreshful and at that time I felt want to take a bath. If only we were not hurry and it does not rain, may be we would be longer.

This is the Ghober Hoet
This is the Ghober Hoet

Ghober Hoet is a hiking trail for climbers who want to camp. So instead of making this the main route to climb the peak, Pondok Saladah, we chose another route. My friend said, the route we took before was the easiest route to climb, while this route to go down, was not bad. Imagine if we took this route first, maybe I would have given up.

If on the way down you see the Ghober Hoet sign, it means your journey is almost over. You will soon find the starting point, which is the crater area.

So this is the sign, whether you want to back to Saladah Cottage, Dead Forest, or back to the Parking Area.

Here we are, in the Crater Area. After that, our journey would end. Now you could see how the fog covering those Area. If you should to be careful before, now you must be more careful because the view is covering and you would be meet the accident. Ow!

What do you think? I and my friend were lucky because the it's rain when we accomplished our trekking. Imagined that the rains down when we start, I thought we can not be on the top because the weather like the warning. We might be failed to trekking Papandayan Montain. Some people turn around when we there in the Crater Area.

Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!

See you on the next post...
