We had a gathering at the local temple this weekend. I met the neighbors and the priest after a long time so it was sweet. There was free food too which is called 'Bhandara' in Hindi, the food is offered to everyone who visits the holy gathering.
The temple is also decorated with flowers and the Gods are made to wear beautiful flowers necklaces. Everyone gathers and sings holy songs, praise the lord and then present food in front of God. Then the food is distributed among every one present there. It is done as a public service so no one asked is asked to give any money but people do donate on such occasions. Then people visit the temple as well to embrace themselves with blessing of Gods and Goddess.
Here is my favourite form of God - Lord Hanumana. I believe in God and consider him One - just the various forms to cater interest of every unique human being present on this planet. This is my most favourite form and story of God that makes me feel strong and supported. Lord Hanumana is a symbol of strength and glory.
Let's see around the place of gathering. So I took the pictures when people left because that is when I wanted to visit it. I don't like crowded places and Indian holy gatherings - they are so crowded that you will be pushed here and there & I was in no mood of that.
So there were tents and decorations, chairs and colors all around.
Lets go inside the local temple and see the decorations ourselves:
This is how the temple looks from outside when you will be entering it:

Let's go upstairs and see Lord 'BankeBihari':
And last but not the least, the free food that was served. It was so tasty, believe me. It is called Mix veg and Puri :):)
