I want to tell you about a beautiful Bulgarian eco-trail located in the Eastern Rhodopes that I visited by bike this summer.
The trail leads to three beautiful waterfalls that the locals call "Тhe Secret Waterfalls".
With a girlfriend, we set off on our bikes from the village of Malko Gradishte, Lyubimets municipality in Bulgaria.
Passing through the small streets, we reached the church of the village "St. Athanasius". From it there is a sign from where the beginning of the eco-path begins.
The road is extremely pleasant and accessible for cycling.
There were places to rest, benches and wooden bridges.
Here is the path to the First Waterfall. It is quite steep, but there are strong ropes stretched on the trees around it. Clinging to them, we descended to the bottom. Of course, we left the bicycles on the main trail because there was no way we were going down with them.
The weather when we visited the falls was dry and the river was not full, so we did not get to see them in their full beauty. But still the place is very wild and beautiful and we liked it very much.
The rocks, trees, mosses, sounds, everything was fascinating.
We continued cycling to the second waterfall.
His height was greater than the first one. We looked at it from above, and the sky with white fluffy clouds was charmingly reflected in the water.
We ride the bikes on a trail further up to find the Third Falls.
It is reached by a not-so-steep path. There is a separate corner for rest in the object. There were signs of a hearth.
I liked this waterfall the most and we stayed there for a longer time enjoying the unique wildlife.
Besides the beautiful mosses and vegetation, we found this lovely smelling wild mint.
Footage taken above the waterfall.
And even higher.
We returned the same way happy, satisfied and refreshed by the wonderful route.
Thank you for stopping by!
