This month I visited the small highland town Sinaia, located in the region of Wallachia - Romania.
With @nanast, @fog043 and other friends we traveled by cars from Bulgaria. We have arrived in Sinaia in the late afternoon. We stayed in a cozy little hotel, where we were welcomed very hospitably.
We checked in and immediately went for a walk to explore the surrounding area.
We walked through the small streets of the city.
We headed downtown.
We were shown winding narrow streets and buildings with interesting architecture.
We reached Piateta George Enesku Park
The central part of the city with a large shopping center.
A key intersection around which there are many restaurants and shops.
Continuing to walk, we came to Dimitrie Ghica Park.
There is a tourist information center at the beginning of the park.
Here is located one of the first and oldest hotels in Sinaia - Caraiman Hotel. In front of it, there is an artesian fountain, constructed at the same time as the hotel.
In the park there are also: hotels, a pastry shop, monuments to famous people, various attractions.

With my friends, we took a lot of pictures: in front of the fountains, in front of the casino, on the stone benches. We also saw these interestingly colored tree roots and did not miss climbing there and taking pictures.
We reached the Heroes' Cemetery in Sinaia - created in memory of the soldiers who fell in the battles of the First World War.
We headed to Sinaia Monastery.
Sinaia Monastery was built in the 17th century, and subsequently the city that arose around it began to bear the name of the monastery - Sinaia.
There are a new and an old church, a monastic building and a monastery museum.
The bell tower is impressive, in which there is a suspended bell weighing 1,700 kilograms.

After visiting the remarkable monastery, we headed back to the center.
Along the way, we saw impressive buildings in terms of architecture and size, which were unfortunately abandoned.
The next day we visited Sinaia train station. Big and spacious, with lots of flowers and a big reservation hall.
We then headed to Peles Castle, built in 1873.
A grandiose castle built by order of the Romanian King Carol I. It was built in the Neo-Renaissance style and was completed in 1914.
It is the first European castle to have electricity.
We couldn't go inside because we had a trip to another Romanian city and the queues were very long. So we continued to Pelishore Castle.
Pelishore Castle, which was built as a summer residence for the royal family.
There is a large market in the area where you can buy many souvenirs and items from the local people.
