Hi guys, today I would like to share with you one of my most amazing and full of adrenaline rushes trip to the branch of the Pirin karst ridge. Namely the Horse and the Cat´s head:
This was the beginning. We grabbed a cup of coffee and headed towards hut Vihren. Pirin mountain and its beauty lie in front of this picture.
This is the beauty of Pirin mountain. We traversed the whole plains to reach the top parts.
This region is called the Cauldrons
Here we see the famous ridge - The Horse and its starting point. It looks and feels amazing.

This rock was way outside the ridge in the vicinity air. I decided to climb there but was too afraid to stand. So the picture was taken while seated 😁

This is the end point of The Horse.
It was getting late as the Sun was setting earlier in preparation for the upcoming winter.
We decided to spend the night in this shelter. It is located right after The horse ridge.

The next morning we got up for the sunrise. It was amazing.
Totally worth it! Now we are headed to the Cat´s head. This ridge is even more extreme and longer than The Horse.
This is the one. We are going to pass the whole ridge to the bottom where the city on Bansko is situated.
Beautiul scenery ahead and a lot of chasms. Let´s do this!
We were climbing and descending. It was a rough rocky terrain.
But the views were spectacular.
There were goats all over the place. Could not zoom in to see them clearly but there is a herd down below.
It is actually doable. This route. Yes it is dangerous but not impossible.
White rocky formations. Amazing nature.
This region is towards the end of the Cat´s head.
We followed the trail down and were back in the city before sunset. The experience was one of a kind. I will remember it for the rest of my life.
