I've not really been a Traveller, but I try to make the most of the times I have each time I have an opportunity to be on a trip. My journey to Portharcourt was a spiritual trip alongside other evangelism the members that numbered over 50. We travelled on the afternoon of Friday and returned to my base on Sunday.

I decided to take out time to take a tour around the city to visit places. I visited the port where oil ships are moored and intra-city tansported via speed boats are coordinated.

Portharcourt is an oil-rich city and one of the most populous and developed city in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja following it's location on the shoreline and do accomodate several oil companies that drill offshore the Atlantic Ocean. You can site drilling rigs at close proximity.

At 5:00am, movements have ensued and at 7:00am, the road already gets contested and the next available transportation route becomes "water". I've never traveled on water before, as such it looked so scary to make an attempt.

Male and female, young and old were seen boarding the speed boat for NGN100 and NGN200 fare Journey that lasts for at least 20 minutes. It was unique to see that the natives preferred to travel by water than by land being that it's faster. The 20 minutes routes on water would take about an hour on land.

The beautiful places there. The hotel I checked in was cozy with a greeny environment. I took a shot of their bar but with native materials. The hut is cool even in the hot season because of the roofing material.

It was beautiful to notice that my suitcase had a steem-like design and I was flaunting to my friends. I got so excited about it and even had to take special shots.

Below is a shot I took on Sunday morning with friends who lodged with me. I particularly told them that I took the shot to show my Steem suitcase as they already know me to be a dedicated steem blogger.

Journey back to our base was fun and exciting as we had stopovers on the way to fix our vehicle. The journey should be approximately 90 minutes but the bad road made us to travel as long as 4 hours.

Sometimes, we all need that experience that we leave our base to another. We could learn new things, meet new friends and treat ourselves to fun. The trip to Portharcourt was one of those beautiful trips I've ever taken.
