Or if you are visiting in summer the provision of an outdoor pool is extremely inviting and as the sun sets to the west you can enjoy sipping champagne from the wide, wrap around veranda whilst you catch the evening breeze. The mature trees surrounding the property provide cooling shade and the gardens are a delight to wander through at your leisure.

The jacarandah trees were coming into bloom when I found this place and couldnt resist taking a few shots to share their beauty. Jacarandahs for me, are delightful symbols of the summer season, as they prepare the way for our sub-tropical heat and humidity in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The streets become lined with magnificent mauve flowers which hang, suspended in wide branches until after Christmas when they lay a colourful, floral carpet on the footpaths, parks and gardens for all to enjoy.
I see the Wiss B&B even have their own resident rooster........just in case you sleep in. Very handy.......although I think I'd prefer a gentle nudge and a cup of coffee to waken me if I ever happened to sleep in.

Jacarandas (Jacaranda Mimosifoila) make a vibrant statement on their own but in a group they are even more beautiful. They are native to Brazil where they are deciduous due to monsoonal wet seasons. Jacaranda is the name of a genus of 49 species of trees and shrubs.
They grow up to 15 metres tall and can be just as wide and although most people are familiar with the mauve/purple coloured flowers there is a much rarer white variety, appropriately called, White Christmas. These trees thrive in tropical climates but can tolerate light frosts although their floral display is less impressive.

All in all, the Wiss Bed & Breakfast luxury accommodation is a very desirable place to stay. And now that I know what it offers (without the benefit of having a look inside, apart from what I’ve seen and liked online) I may give some serious thought about planning a weekend away with my dearly beloved in the near future.
