Almost at the end of my stay in Moscow, I went to the Tsaritsynskiy Park (Царицынский Парк), located in the Southern part of the city, in the Tsaritsyno district.
To get there from the city centre, you need to take the Metro Line #2 , in direction to Alma-Atinskaya (Алма-Атинская). It's a 40 minute ride until the station Orekhovo (Орехово) and from there to the entrance of the park is merely a 3 minute walk.
This shot was taken by the Bridge at the Walnut Dam (Мост на Ореховой Плотине) and it was a perfect spot to test the Panoramic feature of my camera. (Keep in mind I had never tried this feature until that day.)
This frozen lake presented a good opportunity to play around with this feature. The above shot is Unedited... and below is the same photo, with a simple White Balance correction:
I only remembered the camera had this feature when I saw such amazing views. This park is huge... and I mean, really huge!!! I have walked for hours and I have only seen around a third of it, if that much.
This park was not very crowded, there were a few couples in their romantic walks, a few old people enjoying their retirement days and a couple of mothers with their kids. Oh, I saw a guy fishing, too...
Anyway, here is the very first experience with the Panoramic feature of my camera, taken near the entrance of the park. First, I'll show you the Unedited shot:
And here's the edited version, with the White Balance correction:
Every time I tried this feature on a phone, I screwed it up somehow - so my expectations were kind of low. I was pleasently surprised as how easy it is to take a Panoramic Shot with this camera.
I highly recommend it, if you need a small compact camera for travelling without attracting too many attention to yourself.
Tell me, which versions do you prefer? The Unedited or the ones after a White Balance correction?
