Hi Everyone,

Let’s continue visiting Bojnice Castle. Once we were out of the underground cave, we were finally led to the interior of the castle. It was nice, but not as grand and big as some of the castles we have visited in the past. We walked up many flights of stairs and finally came to a room full of artworks and different furniture used by the royal family.

As mentioned in my previous blog, you can visit the castle with a guided tour guide. They take you to the designated rooms and can only be there for a limited amount of time in each room. As you can see, there are many valuable things in each room. Everything was used by the royal family and are very precious to the local people. The ceilings were very high and we were surrounded by lots of history.

The window panes in particular was a highlight in some of the rooms as they were all different. Some of them have people on them which is different to some castle we have seen where they have traditional shapes or flowers to represent a story. And of course like all tours, you are not allowed to touch any of the displays. As we had the kids with us, we had to be really careful but at the same time, they were very well behaved for most of the tour.
