Hi Everyone,
Although I showed you many parts of the castle, they are all internal rooms showcasing their art, treasures and belongings. Today, I’ll show you some exterior of the castle and what was explained to use during the tour. We didn’t get to stay outdoor for long as I mentioned everything they showed us was indoors.
First let me show you again a model of the castle and what it looks like. It is not a very big castle like the ones we have seen in the past but it was big enough for this area. The design is based around and have elements of Gothic Revival architecture. There are only 4 of these types of style in Slovakia and Bojnice castle is one of them. Romanesque architecture was also mentioned due to the semi arches in and around some of the areas in the castle.
The exterior of the castle was yellow/ light grey coloured which gives visitors a nice impression as it doesn’t look like an old castle. It was well preserved and can see that it has been carefully restored over time. The exterior lights also gives me the medieval impression of the castle.
Other parts of the castle looks like sand castles carefully modelled together. The top of the different building is of a green/aqua colour which stood out from afar. The green ceiling was not that vibrant as what we see online when we visited maybe due to weather and old age. If you have a chance to visit the castle, make sure to enjoy the external of the castle as well as internal with all the treasures inside.
