The 1st Place
Visiting Taiwan's abandoned UFO village [EN/DE]
written by @travelshots
Hey guys! Today I would like to tell you about a very special and pretty weird place in Taiwan. It's an abandoned village where there are actually houses that look like UFOs. By chance I saw a report about this place on German television some months ago. Since I am totally fascinated by lost places, I was immediately excited and knew that I wanted to go there when I was in Taiwan.
The 2nd Place
Walking Tour - Kruje, Albania
written by @coldsteem
We started our walking tour at the bottom of the steps below the restaurant. The town has a small square, with a narrow cobblestone street stretching up toward the castle. Our tour guide explained the history of the area and the growth of the tourist industry in this small, sleepy town tucked away overlooking the valleyâŚand on a clear day, the Adriatic.
The 3rd Place
South and West of Iceland once again
written by @saunter
We planned a night in a rather interesting place, namely in the Gýgagjå cave. Trying to reach it on a rarely used road, we were quite unfortunate to get stuck in the snow, so that even the 4x4 car could not cope and we got bogged down for good. The time was approaching 10 PM, and I had to arrange the roadside assistance by phone and pray in the intervals of waiting for the next caller (rental worker -> 24h roadside assistance service -> specific help worker closest to us) for the costs not to be too high.
We hope you have enjoyed these posts. Please do visit the fellow Steemiansâ accounts to learn more about their travels!
