Welcome to today's Weekly Travelfeed roundup brought to you by @for91days.
Happy Sunday everyone. The entire TravelFeed teams hopes that everyone who reads this had a great week and weekend. It's time now to reward the top 3 submitted travel articles from the last week using our #travelfeed tag. The first winning article is taking us to the Meteora Monasteries in Greece. This magical place makes you wonder how they got all the building materials on top of that rock for the monastery. Now we would like to take you to Mars. The Wadi Rum desert In Jordan really could be set on a foreign planet with its barren landscapes. And finally we're spoiling you with more odd landscapes and are taking you to China, to admire the stone pillars of the Zhangjiajie-Nationalpark.
Please note - we are still in search for one more curator to cover a day or two a week. If you are interested, please contact us on discord (kindly find a link at the bottom of the page). Now let’s get reading!

The 1st Place
Meteora Monasteries – The gems that didn’t stay hidden
written by @haydae
High up in the sky we were, trying to drive through the clouds and rain. The road was so foggy that we could barely see past a couple meters ahead but we knew where we were, up in the mountains. I clutched the steering wheel as firmly as I could and tried to forget that the truck right behind us was getting dangerously close to our rental car.
The 2nd Place
Wadi Rum: because you don’t need to be Elon Musk’s friend to go to Mars!
written by @helgalubevi
I’m that kind of person that really enjoys the silence. For this reason, I love to visit libraries and also temples around the world. The lack of noise always give me a sensation of peace, and I love that! One of the things that I love most about Wadi Rum is its quietness. Sometimes, you just listen to the sound of the sand moving with the wind and it’s so magical and mysterious at the same time! I simply love the silence of the desert! And Wadi Rum, with your huge rocks, makes it even more special.
The 3rd Place
China 22: Talking about Avatar-landscapes, high heels in the mountains and damn narrow clefts [EN/GER]
written by @roadtrips
In the middle of the mountains, next to the gondola, a Mc Donald's was opened. They are crazy, these Chinese we think, and continue our hike. Instead of thinking about such nonsense, we enjoy the landscapes and the peace that comes in as soon as you walk a few meters and go off the beaten track.
