The preparations started days before the fair itself but most of the work had to be done the same day. Putting tables and chairs, setting up an outdoors kitchen and a bar and preparing food for 400 people is not a light task. Yet it all happened thanks to the good will and unselfishness of the volunteers!
The 2nd Place
French Polynesia – Next Stop Huahine
written by @dmcamera
So why is magical Huahine (total poulation around 6,000 people) such a well-guarded secret? (It's known sometimes as The Secret Island. Well, she does not have a city with a large market like Papeete on Tahiti where you can shop for everything from black pearls to local fish caught in the lagoon, or an abundance of resorts like the rest of the island.
The 3rd Place
Riding the Shinkansen in Japan 日本新幹線
written by @livinguktaiwan
The Japan Shinkansen or the Bullet Train first started operation in 1964. At that time, it was the world's first high speed train system in the world. Now, it's one of the main "to do" things for tourists visiting Japan, especially if you're travelling between cities. I took the Shinkansen for the first time last November when I travelled from Tokyo to Nagoya.
