TravelFeed is a project by @jpphotography, @rimicane, @for91days and @wanderlass. We are passionate travelers who met each other on Steemit. Read our intro!

Welcome to the best of week 6 of TravelFeed! In the past weeks, #travelfeed has grown into what we envisioned when we started out in February: The best tag to find high-quality travel content on Steemit! This would not be possible without all you amazing content creators!

With the delegation that we received by Steemit witness @roelandp this week, we now have enough upvote power to really make a difference! To put this voting power to the best possible use, we are happy to announce some changes to our curation system:

MORE Upvotes!

When we launched @travelfeed, we started off with a small number of eligible posts every day, so it was easy to choose the five best posts. With an increasing number of quality submissions, we will now start giving out more votes starting tomorrow: On top of the 5 posts that receive a resteem and upvote at 100%, we will be giving out up to three 50% upvotes every day. These posts will not receive a resteem, but have a chance to be featured within the 10 honourable mentions in the weekly round-up. For the followers of our curation trail this means, that the additional upvotes on honourable mentions will use a little more of your upvote power.

This brings us to the changes in the payout for the weekly winners: With the honourable mentions receiving upvotes, we will not be paying out the symbolic amount of 0.05 SBD to them any more. At the same time, we are increasing rewards for the three best posts of the week featured in the weekly round-up to 1 SBD each effective next week.

In celebration of the delegation we received this week, we are also doubling the rewards for this week’s winners to the original amount of 0.5 SBD for each winning post and 0.1 SBD for each honourable mention.

MORE Curators!

We are happy to announce that @wanderlass, who also is a mod at the Steemit Travellers Discord, is joining the @travelfeed team! With her help, the curation we do will become even better!

MORE Languages!

As we announced in our introduction post, we are now looking into creating the first language-specific travelfeed-tag. We will start by creating a curated travelfeed-tag for travel posts in German by the #deutsch community. Each language-specific tag will have its own curation team that will operate independently from our main team, but will receive upvotes by @travelfeed on curated and curation posts for a few weeks to get operations started.
To all the German travellers reading this: We want you! Leave a comment or contact us on the Steemit Travellers Discord if you are interested in becoming a curator for TravelFeed in German!

We will see how the German tag goes before we think about expanding to other languages, but if you are interested in curating a travelfeed-tag in your language, contact us!

Three BEST posts of the week

After all these announcements, we finally come to the best three posts of this week.
A quick recap - For the weekly round-up, we feature the best 3 posts out of the ones previously featured in the daily topic curation posts in the past week and on top of that 10 honorable mentions that closely did not make it into our resteems last week. Each winner will receive 0.5 SBD and each honourable mention 0.1 SBD!

Beheaded Goat and Bloody Idol
above the Clouds in Himalayan Temple

written by @nameless-berk

The place was smeared with red paint and blood all over, which were bad news for the poor Kid. Indeed, his sole purpose of arriving here was to be sacrificed to the Goddess.

This Waterfall Looks Insane After The Cyclone Near Cairns!
written by @traveltramp

Being the end of the wet season though right now I wasn’t expecting too much rain, how I was wrong... over the last few days Cairns was hit hard by rain from the nearby Cyclone Nora which ravaged the tropical north.

A Walk to the City Palace of Jaipur
written by @aburmeseabroad

To reach the city palace ticketing area, you will pass by this two beautiful gates. There are similar beautiful gates around the city and every time I see them, I can't stop to admire the beauty of them.

We hope you have enjoyed the chosen posts. Please do visit the fellow Steemians’ accounts to learn more about their travels!
