Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed America roundup brought to you by @guchtere and @for91days.
Everything looks more interesting from above. At the first stop in our weekly round-up of excellent travel articles from the Americas, we'll ascend the highest pyramid of the Mayan ruins of Coba, in Mexico, and take in the view. Then, we'll take a stroll along the beach at North Carolina's Outer Banks, where there are all sorts of critters and creatures. Finally... who hasn't dreamed of riding along Route 66? Our closing article takes this famous road out to the Grand Canyon.

Beauties of Yucatan: the magnificent Mayan ruins of Coba
written by @phortun
Located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, some 44 km (27 mi) northwest of Tulum, a popular tourist town on the coast of the Mayan Riviera, Coba used to be a prominent ancient Mayan city and one of the main centers of the Mesoamerican civilization between the 1st and 7th century.
You never know what you will find when you travel, and this trip to the North Carolina's Outer Banks was no different. In the many long walks along the beach, quite a few critters showed up, even if only briefly. Walk with me down the beach as we check out some of the wildlife (and skeletons) found on the sea shore.
We then went back to the highway to the Grand Canyon. To summarize our excursion on Road 66, we lost a couple of hours as we could have driven directly to Seligman and enjoy the place there. But somehow, getting lost and discovering new horizons is part of the fun. We did a lot of jokes and spent a (long) nice moment when driving.
