Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed America roundup brought to you by @for91days and @mrprofessor.
It's time for the Travel Feed community to pack the bags and land in America once more. Only that this time we'll go beyond South America to board on Deception Island in Antarctica, a place full of history and wild animals - if you are fascinated by the stories of Shackleton, Amundsen and many others, you'll for sure like this story.
Last but not least, our journey ends at the iconic Route 66, more precisely in Amarillo, Texas. There we'll visit the curious Cadillac Ranch - fasten your seatbelt and kick in the good 'ol Rock and Roll.

Antarctica is very unforgiving to strangers, especially to those warm-blooded Australians not used to the southern chill. But, as I have said before, it is all part of the adventure, (even if you choose to just be an onlooker at times).

That phrase defines the melancholy of looking behind. I'm a sentimental, forgive me. I tend to look over old photos a lot, isn't a thing about being unable to move foward, it's more about remembering all those places and moments where I've been happy.
Amarillo, Texas was the first place we stopped in that we had the time to do a little exploring. Although we only spent a single night there we still had enough time for a bit of adventuring, wandering Route 66 and visiting Cadillac Ranch.
