Today's Africa post is all about Morocco. Two authors highlight the Chellah Necropolis of the capital, Rabat. Walk through its medieval gates and be welcomed by cats and storks that inhabit the ancient ruins. This necropolis will also surprise you with its festive air as musicians entertain visitors.

Finally, let's wrap up this trip with a visit to the market. Your Morocco trip wouldn't be complete without buying a souvenir from the colorful market of Marrakech.

The Chellah Necropolis - Rabat, Morocco
written by @coldsteem

Chellah has been abandoned for centuries. Time and weather have taken a toll on the ancient ruins. It is a quiet ruins providing high vantage points near the Bouregreg River. A perfect place for storks to nest.

When in Rabat, do as the Romans and go to Chellah
written by @haydae

We stood there in awe as no single sound from the bustling city we had left only minutes ago could reach us and a feeling of serenity grew on us steadily, as did the Chellah itself.

Last minute shopping for some souvenirs, Marrakech, Morocco
written by @nolasco

My #MarketFriday today is about last minute shopping for some souvenirs. We all know about this. When we travel (at least, it happens to me), we always leave the buying of souvenirs for the last minute.
