I have been writing about Vietnam travel since Tommy Travel Journey #1 to #5 , and yet the nearest distance from my place , Kota Kinabalu , Malaysia to Vietnam is about 2,030 km .
As i walk around the town today , i saw a place that sell vietnam cuisine since few years ago. Lucky , it still operate and made it through the pandemic season .
Welcome to Peppermint restaurant that sell Vietnam Cuisine in my area.
A Vietnam's taste from 2,030 km away from Vietnam . It look modern restaurant with aircon facilities.
This is the menu , and the price is quite reasonable .
I order beef stew and steam chicken with rice , and of course the vietnam coffee , all of them cost around $5.
The taste is almost like original Vietnamese cuisine and i can give A- . Its just a little bit off because i think it using local flavor , but still a pass from me.
If you around the town and miss Vietnamese food , just come and the food at Peppermint .
