Rajavihara Temple known as Ta Promh Temple in Siem Reap

THE TA PROMH TEMPLE

Rajavihara Temple was build late 12th and early 13th centuries . If you has watch with Tomb Raider by Lara Croft , this is the location for the movie . The movie get so much popular until people come to Siem Reap just to see these place which is good for tourist industry in Cambodia .

Ta Promh is the modern name for Rahavihara Temple. According to history , back to 12th century , King Khmer has builds a lot of temples in Angkor area which the area of Angkor more prosperity than other temples. Since , Ta Prohm location is quite far from Angkor and located near jungle area , it was abandon. There was 10,000 people use to live in Ta Prohm but after it being abandon , it became deserted for hundred of years. Lara Croft has make this popular after the Tomb Raider movie. Source info

There is a lot of abandon temple in Siem Reap , one of the popular temple is Ta Promh Temple. If not because the film industry , i believe this temple will still abandon until now.

Because this temple has been abandon hundreds of years , you can see all the big tree become permanent resident of this temple. THE ARCHITECTURE AND STONE CARVING AT TA PROMH TEMPLE

Like other temple in the world , the stone has been carving hundreds of years. The not just the god or the king carving , but some wall or doll stone being carving to tell the previous history . We are lucky , the stone not just survive for long time because it cant be destroy because has been expose to surrounding for long time .

I spend about 2 hours walking slowly at the temple . The temple its not big but , i enjoying to watch how the old civilization can build this magnificent temple . I sit , think and imagining how i can survive if i being born in that era. This remind me to grateful for what i have now. What a wonderful journey and faith refreshing .

ABOUT THE TRAVEL

Few years back before pandemic , Im was lucky enough to travel solo in most places in ASEAN about 2 years . It was a full of good memory and great experience to learn the different culture, language and religion . I make a lot of new friend which has become my best buddy until now.

I going back to my country in Malaysia after my travel insurances was expired . When i come back to my home town , i share my experience in photography and taking picture for my fulltime job. The pandemic hit my country hard and all the photographer has no job until now , which give me much time to write about my travel journey in travelfeed.io for my documentation.

Previously i share my story in another community , but recently i realize that i should share my story in @asean.hive community which tell more story about ASEAN people and a lot picture to be share. I also allocated a little percent of every story beneficiaries to giving back for the community.
