There is another memory that i cant forget until now is riding a hot air balloon in Vang Vieng , Loas .
I have see hot air balloon in Inle Lake , Myanmar . The coolest thing about hot air balloon is their landing on the lake and give a ride home to the tourist from there and it was quite expensive . I think it was about USD 250 per ride.
I have see hot air balloon in Balloon Festival in Chiang Rai and they also provide hot air balloon ride for USD 350 per ride. They say its already has discount for the festival .
Then i went to Vang Vieng , there is also provide hot air balloon ride which only cost USD 25 and if you all the expensive fare from previous ride , would you take this ride? Even i was scare on high , i thought i might conquer it here. So , i register myself for this challenge .
I wake up early in the morning and waiting for bus to take me from my hotel. It was so early and its still dark . At exactly 4.30 am , my ride come and they took me at a large space at the middle city of Vang Vieng , i think it was a bus parking . There were 3 hot air balloon has been prepare and we can choose which balloon we want. I choose the last balloon to fly , because i was still indecision to fly or not to fly. But , everyone go in the balloon and i dont want to be leave alone.
The ride is become much scarier because there is no safety percussion for the passenger . The ride was made from rattan and it seem fragile. I just close my eyes and enter my ride. After the balloon has enough air to fly with us, it slowly floating on the air. It was very cold and i feel the morning air direct to my face . I grab the rope tightly and start open my eyes. It was a greatest view that i have in my life. Im so glad because i take my courage to fly with the hot air balloon.
Then i try to look below me , it not that scary especially when there is people surround you. :
We was on the air for almost 45 minutes , and it was a great experience. I'll ride another hot air balloon if i got another opportunity and of course if it cheap. (The price may already vary since it was few years ago before the pandemic).
