On the first day in Lisbon, we are out of the hotel, with the guide in hand about 5 minutes to the monument of Marques de Pombal
Von da an dann Richtung Süden der großen Avenida da Liberdade entlang mit ihrer herrlichen Baumallee zu rechten und linken Seite der beiden Straßen. Auf der Avenida da Liberdade sind auch die 5* Hotels und diverse Luxuslabels (mit ihren irrsinnigen Preisen, wo man nur das Personal rumstehen sieht)
From there on, head south along the great Avenida da Liberdade with its magnificent avenue of trees to the right and left of the two streets. On the Avenida da Liberdade are also the 5 * hotels and various luxury labels (with their insane prices, where you can only see the staff standing around)

Ein bisschen südlich vom Bahnhof is der Stadteil Baixa mit dem wohl ungewöhnlichsten Verkehrsmittel von Lissabon, dem Elevador de Santa Justa der die Unterstadt mit der Oberstadt verbindet
A little south of the station is the Baixa district with probably the most unusual means of transport from Lisbon, the Elevador de Santa Justa which connects the lower city with the upper City

Danach wollten wir eigentlich zum Castelo de São Jorge, aber da war die Warteschlange so riesig, dass wir Kirche von São Vicente de Fora weiter sind. Der hl Vinzenz ist der Schutzpatron Lissabons
After that, we actually wanted to go to the Castelo de São Jorge, but the queue was so huge that we continue to church of São Vicente de Fora. St Vincent is the patron saint of Lisbon

Von der Kirche ist es nur Katzensprung zum Panteão Nacional. Die weiße Kuppel ist nicht zu verfehlen. Das Panteon (auch Igreja de Santa Engrácia genant) ist die Gedenk- und Begräbnisstätte für portugiesische Nationalhelden
From the church it is only a stone's throw to the Panteão Nacional. The white dome is unmistakable. The Panteon (also Igreja de Santa Engrácia called) is the memorial and burial place for Portuguese national heroes
