I was talking to my family via Skype today as usual. We were playing a game with my mom and my niece. We call it the city game. It's a perfect intertainment for travellers.
The rules are simple. A player says a name of any city, the next one should give a city beginning with the last letter of the previous name.
For example, if I say Amsterdam, the next player can say Munich, then Ho Chi minh, Hong Kong, Geneva and so on and so forth. I hope you got it 😊
I like spending time not wasting it. So I’m sure even if it’s just a game, you train your brain and memory. Maybe your partners know some places you don’t, and you will remember new words. Isn’t it great?
By the way, you must be good at spelling. One more reason to play it, right? 😎
Well, it was my niece’s turn. She is 13, by the way. She is quite smart, but something like this sometimes happens 😊
She needed a word beginning with the “T” letter. After a few minutes of thinking she said, “Tulinin”. When I asked her to repeat the name, she arrogantly pronounced “Tulinin” one more time. She added that it’s a famous city in Italy, and there is also a football club there. She was surprised how I could not know it.
As for me, the word sounded like a surname of a Soviet general or mathematician. So I wondered if she was not mistaken by any chance.
By the way, she didn’t believe me, when I told her the right name. She preferred to consult Google. It was a bit offensive. But who am I? And everybody knows who Google is! 😂
Can you guess what city my niece meant?
Yes, it’s easy. It was Turin.
Let's play! I know you are lazy but make an effort.
My word is "Pattaya", that's the city I live in now. It's your turn now. You have the letter "A".
