I am an international student of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences which has 4 campuses in Beijing. Among these four campuses, Yanqihu Campus is located around 70 km from the Beijing downtown.
This campus is the largest one and definitely the most beautiful campus of any University in Beijing! I will talk about the beauty of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (中国科学院大学) later.
The name of the campus is originated from the Yanqihu Lake adjacent to the Campus which is one of the attractive tourist place of the town Huairou which is one of the largest district of the Beijing located at the north-eastern side.
It takes only 5 minutes walking to visit the lakeside. There are numerous Hotels and Resorts around the lakeside. And the walking road is very beautiful and charming. You will definitely enjoy your afternoon walking there.
The view of my University Campus from the lakeside is eye-catching. The clear water on the ground, clear blue sky and the mountains make the view like dreams!
The upper figure is taken with wide angle view and without no ZOOM settings, to cover all the surroundings. When I increase the zoom level to 3X optical one, the view becomes more astonishing like the following figure.
How spectacular the scene is! isn't it? Though that day was very sunny and it was very difficult to take some awesome photos but i have tried my best to capture my memories.
I used to visit that place for walking around the lake which will sooth your mind make you filled with the fresh oxygen and that will give you positive synergy to start your week in a good mood with fresh start of your works.
Also the sunny days make the view a solid one with the warmest view there! You can go there anytime you want as. During the public holidays the place is very crowded with so many visitors.
But for the winter the view is not spectacular like the spring or summer but it takes a new level beauty with the pale view of the mountains and trees and the white snow covers everywhere.
The water of the lake also become ice in winter and the area is restricted that time as the fragile ice can be life-taking for the visitors! You can still walk around the lake and should refrain from walking on the lake ice that can vey very troublesome as this ice is not strong like the northern part of the world.
If you have any plan to visit Beijing in future, you should pay a visit here, and the most important fact is that the MUTYUAN GREAT WALL can be observed from Huairou, so you can visit this place as a bonus.
