Last weekend, I stayed in my dormitory without any travel for exploration as there was some raining in the morning and the weather was cloudy and not so good for my expected exploration. Moreover, I was quite tired of last week's workload, so I wanted to sleep a lot and I slept the whole morning after I watched an Indian movie. After I had my launch, I was feeling very weird as I am not used to spending the whole day in the room, and the office is always my 2nd home here. So, in the late afternoon, I went to visit one of my favorite destinations, the Yanqihu Lake Dam, to enjoy the evening there.
When I arrived there, it was almost evening as the sun had already set, and the lighting in the surrounding area started blinking. But the full evening lighting beauty starts after the darkness appear properly. I found not so many people there, though it was a weekend like I found this area a busy area in the early spring. Maybe the summer season is bringing higher temperatures, which makes fewer people go out, and the morning rain was also a reason for the cloudy weather to attract fewer people to visit this area of Huairou City.
When the darkness started dominating, the surrounding views were coming with a greater look, and the sky on the west started disappearing fast. The reddish shade of the sky was spectacular behind the mountain ranges in the early evening, as you can see in the pictures. And with the dark evening, the lighting arrangement in the surrounding buildings, which are mostly hotels and resorts, and the colorful lights on the front side of the distance mountains made the environment a truly scenic one.
I found more people during the late evening, as many people started coming for a delightful walk in this beautiful dam by the Yanqihu lake, with some of the best views in front of the dam. The colorful lights in various buildings were really amazing. Most importantly, the mountains and some islands in the Yanqihu lake have color-changing lightings, making the views different in different moments, which is a marvelous scenery of the lake. The reflection of this lightings on the lake water made a breathtaking beauty in the whole surrounding.
The weather was also excellent, though the coldness started rising as the day was not so sunny, and the rain brought the temperature down a little bit. But it was a great, comfortable weather in May when the temperature rises very fast after the frozen winter in this area.
Though I have not enjoyed the sunset here as I arrived after the sunset but the overall views were amazing in this area. And I want to come back here very soon to enjoy the spectacular sunset from this beautiful Yanqihu lake dam area. When I came back, it was almost around 9 o'clock, which is early night, and I enjoyed the time there with the beauty of the area, and I could not understand how the time passed so fast.
